Osceola County E.M.S.T.

The Osceola County Emergency Management Support Team is aimed at providing qualified Emergency Operations Center and Emergency Management staff to augment local emergency capabilities.  In 2009, the EMST concept was officially added to both the Osceola and Newaygo County Emergency Plans, forming to a joint West Central Michigan E.M.S.T.  Plans for adding members from additional counties including Clare, Mecosta, and Lake are goals for 2010.

EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SUPPORT TEAM (E.M.S.T.)

The Osceola County Emergency Management Support Team (E.M.S.T.) is focused on developing volunteer emergency personnel to  support local emergency / disaster response.  The E.M.S.T. is established as a Type IV N.I.M.S. E.O.C. Support team with members trained and designated for the following critical duties:
