Basic preparedness resources are available from expert sources such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security, the American Red Cross, and the National Weather Service.  Osceola County Emergency Management utilizes those resources to provide guidance on citizen preparedness based on local capabilities and plans.

This guide provided by the Department of Homeland Security is HIGHLY recommended by Osceola County Emergency Management to every citizen.  This comprehensive guide provides information on basic preparedness, hazard information guidance, and recovery.  Citizens that complete the information can take an online test and get a certificate of training from FEMA.
