Osceola County Emergency Management

Osceola County Emergency Management will be facilitating an overview seminar of N.I.M.S. IS700 (Orientation to N.I.M.S.), IS 100 & IS200 (Incident Command) in order to assist agencies / personnel in meeting N.I.M.S. compliancy requirements.  Students will be guided through the course material and provided local perspective on the material as well as receive assistance in understanding the exam questions and process. 

The following activities are provided to invite participation from community government, public, and private entities in education, training, and exercise programs that contribute to Osceola County’s emergency program capability.  For further information or to R.S.V.P., contact the emergency management department.

N.I.M.S. ICS300 & ICS400 COURSES

 

Location:  Emergency Management Center

Time:  0800am - 17:00pm each day

Registration: $25 per student / class

Pre-Requisites:  IS700 NIMS, NIMS ICS100, NIMS ICS200

 

DATES

ICS 300 = January 12th & 13th, 2008 (26 Responders Trained!!!)

ICS 300 = January 14th & 15th, 2008 (28 Responders Trained!!!)

ICS400 = February 9th & 10th, 2008 (Saturday & Sunday)

ICS400 = February 11th & 12th, 2008 (Monday & Tuesday)

The National Incident Management System Incident Command System 300 level field course is intended for emergency response supervisors and/or organizational middle management who are directly responsible for implementing and/or operating within a incident command system.  Examples primarily include organization officers, supervisors, chiefs, department heads, and E.O.C. Officials.

The National Incident Management System Incident Command System 400 level field course is intended for emergency response directors and/or organizational directors who are directly responsible for managing and directing the incident command system during major events.  Examples include fire, police, and ems chiefs, support organization managers, and E.O.C. Officials.

These courses build on the basic incident command principles built in ICS100 & ICS200 courses and focuse on implementation of incident command for major incidents utilizing a comprehensive scope of incident command principles such as area command, incident complexes, incident planning, etc.
